Everything Was Possible & Nothing Made Sense

To this day, I think the caustic, two-faced Eddie Haskell (Ken Osmond) on Leave it to Beaver is the most amazingly authentic depiction of a teenager in the history of TV sitcoms. That this innocuous little TV show had the nerve to make a sympathetic recurring character out of a teen that embodied absolutely everything every parent wanted their kid NOT to be in the 50s, is nothing short of subversive (and genius!)
